Our gift tip for Christmas: The B&M Cyo Premium ebike headlamp with rear light connection convinces by compatibility to almost all mid-engine ebike drive systems from 6 to 42 volts and a large-area light picture.
The IQ-Premium-Technology ensures best illumination of the road ahead of the electric bike. With the integrated switch on the Busch and Müller IQ Cyo Premium ebike headlamp, the headlamp can be switched on and off separately from the switching state of the drive system if required.
This electric bike headlamp is designed for input voltages from 6 volts to 42 volts, with supply via the eBike on-board system. The B&M Cyo Premium ebike offers the possibility to connect a direct current taillight (6 Volt). The following Busch and Müller taillights are suitable:
- B&M Flat S electric bike taillight
- B&M Toplight Line electric bike rear light This corresponds to an output of 2.4 watts.
The Bosch system provides, depending on the engine type, between 500mAh and 1500mAh at 6 Volt depending on the latest software version.
The Yamaha PW system provides 500 mAh for lighting and can therefore also be combined with this B&M Cyo Premium headlamp without hesitation.
Note: In addition, almost all drives are compatible up to a maximum DC voltage of 42 volts. Hub motors with energy recovery / recuperation are not suitable, as voltage peaks of up to 70 volts can be expected for these drive types.
Note about possible alternatives:
The Bosch drive unit on Bosch e-bikes from 2014 onwards with Active, Performance and Performance CX Line However, the headlamp offered here can be used without problems.
As a 6-volt alternative, the following Busch & Müller 1752Q6 headlamp can be used:
