B&M IQ2 Eyc 50 Lux Electric Bicycle Headlight – 160R6/6-04991

The Busch and Müller IQ2 Eyc ebike headlamp with 50Lux light intensity, for e-bikes with 6 Volt voltage source at the light output, incl. 6 Volt rear light connection.

With IQ2 technology (50 lux) and the proven Busch and Müller close-range illumination thanks to the modified mirror design, the B&M IQ2 Eyc electric bike headlight provides the best light in any season.

The Busch and Müller Eyc 160R/6-04991 is specially designed for e-bikes and electric bikes with a 6-volt DC light output. The tail light can be wired directly to the lamp, as the headlight has its own 6V tail light output.

This LED headlight is suitable for eBikes with Bosch mid-motor from 2014 and Yamaha, Shimano as well as other systems with 6 volt light supply voltage.

Consumption & compatibility

The B&M Eyc IQ2 was tested by us on the Bosch system and requires about 630 mA on the current Bosch Active/Performance system with the 6-volt light output voltage set. It is therefore usable on all Bosch eBike systems from model year 2012, Shimano and the more current Yamaha systems PW-X, PW-SE and newer.

Possible incompatibility

Please note that the lamp has a power consumption of about 4 watts compared to the usual 2.4 watts.

Therefore, the headlight is not usable on the first Bosch Classic eBikes from 2010 to model year 2013. On these eBikes, an output power of maximum 500mA is approved for the light output.

The Yamaha PW system is also not compatible, as a maximum of 500mA is also allowed here, a higher current consumption can lead to serious damage to the electronics.
