Thanks to the large-area, ergonomically shaped hand rest, ERGON grips of the GP series offer very good pressure relief. In particular, the ergonomic shape of the grip provides optimum relief for the carpal tunnel – whose overload due to unsuitable or incorrectly adjusted grips can be a reason for tingling or falling asleep hands.

The right grip for every hand size

Ergon grips are available in sizes S and L. The only difference is the grip circumference. Size S is suitable for small to medium-sized hands (glove size 6.5 to 8.5). Size L is suitable for medium to large hands (glove size 8.5 to 10.5).

Of course, a man with large hands, for example, who values a ”secure grip”, can choose the smaller size. A smaller grip provides a secure hold thanks to the better ”all-around grip”, for example, in off-road use. Conversely, a lady on a rather comfortable city bike can also choose the large handle to improve the pressure relief once again.

For the greatest possible relief of the hands, the hand support angle must be optimally adjusted. It is essential to ensure that the forearm, metacarpus and fingers form approximately one line. Both a strongly hyperextended and a bent hand should be avoided at all costs.
