Polymer Coated Cable
The secret is a polymer coating that, under a microscope, looks like tubing wrapped around the cable.This provides less surface area to rub against the inner cable housing. Grease is also retained for longer.The main benefits are a much lower effort when shifting gears and the feeling of faster gear changes.

SP41
With the OT-SP41, the outer casing is pre-lubricated with a special silicone lubricant along its entire length to enable fast, precise shifting.The OT-SP41 reduces friction losses of the inner cable to an absolute minimum so that the shifting is quick to respond and effortless to operate.
